Major architecture festival issues Covid-19 funding appeal

OPEN HOUSE LONDON has issued an appeal for donations as its financial future is threatened by coronavirus.

Hundreds of thousands of people enjoy the Open House weekend each September, exploring famous, historically significant and architecturally stunning buildings across the capital. Open House London is the world’s largest architecture festival that offers free public access to more than 800 buildings with an array of walks, talks and tours across every borough in London.

The charity said it funds the festival through year-round work which has been severely limited by the pandemic lockdown. It is now exploring ways to hold the annual event despite social distancing, and has appealed for support. For more details, visit openhouselondon.org.uk/appeal
