Developer Countryside has donated more than £23,000 to four initiatives in Barking and Dagenham.
Future Youth Zone, a purpose-built facility for children and young people and those with disabilities, has received a £10,000 donation to bolster support services that during lockdown has provided one-to-one phone calls, and delivered food and medicine to people in need.
Countryside has also donated to the Sycamore Trust, an autism charity as well as the Pennu Charity that promotes health and wellbeing of the elderly in the borough. The Becontree community supermarket that provides discounted produce and puts on educational classes and activities also received a donation.
The money comes from the Countryside £1 million Communities Fund, and has been donated to groups close to the firm’s developments in Beam Park, Fresh Wharf and Trinity Place. To read our latest edition of BOLD magazine click HERE.
