Next steps at Sebastian Court scheme in Barking as building continues for affordable homes

Work is progressing at the Sebastian Court affordable homes development in Barking with a new substation and two new tower cranes erected on the site.

Developer Jerram Falkus is working on the Upney Lane scheme for Barking and Dagenham Council’s regeneration arm, Be First, where more than 90 affordable homes will be created.

This is an increase of almost 30 units when comparing this to the original building that has now been demolished.

Piling and groundworks have been completed and the first columns and walls are now starting to be formed to two of the blocks on the first floor.
